Matthew Macfadyen sera Aramis dans le prochain 'The Three Musketeers'

Ray Stevenson (“The Book of Eli”), Luke Evans (“Clash of the Titans”) and Matthew Macfadyen (“Robin Hood”) have been cast as three of the force’s best and most disgraced members: Porthos, Athos and Aramis, respectively, whose creed of friendship is “All for one and one for all!”

Paul WS Anderson has answered back by announcing a wealth of casting for his 3D version of the story, with Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Mads Mikkelsen and Matthew Macfadyen all jumping aboard.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson must have really liked Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood," considering he's cast Matthew McFadyen (the Sheriff of Nottingham) and Luke Evans (the Sheriff's thug) as two of the three title characters in his 3D take on Alexandre Dumas' classic tale "The Three Musketeers," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

MacFadyen starred in the British TV series "Spooks" is best known for playing Mr. Darcy in "Pride & Prejudice." He next appears in Starz's star-studded miniseries "The Pillars of the Earth."

Matthew McFadyen as Aramis: McFadyen actually stood out to me back during Pride and Prejudice Without Zombies when he played Mr. Darcy. The guy has some steady talent, I’m looking forward to seeing him as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, and he seems capable of bringing the thoughtful, religious, philandering womanizer to life.

“But those first reports that say I’m playing Aramis of the Musketeers? Wrong. Unless I looked at the contract wrong. I’m to be Athos.”
